Sustainability Panel Discussion at PCP with Hara WholeFoods, Yerrabingin, RooCreate, Huskee & Ooooby

In the spirit of Roaster Smackdown 2019, we present to you a panel discussion on business sustainability to empower you to make small business changes that could benefit you and the planet.

Our panel speakers:

  • Cass Hay - owner Hara Whole Foods (Plant-based catering)

  • Matt Mckay - Yerrabingin (World's first Indigenous rooftop farms)

  • Suzanne Haddon - owner of RooCreate (compostable and sustainable packaging)

  • Nicole Barnes - Huskee (HuskeeCup made from coffee husk raw material)

  • Murat Keskin - Ooooby (organic fresh produce)

  • Danni Choy - Oatly (Alternative plant-based milk that good for people and plant)

This event will be hosted by Kobi Morris, Head Roaster and Cafe Manager from Paramount Coffee Project.

A bit about the speakers . . .

Hara Whole Foods  - Cass Hay created Hara Whole Foods with the believe that 'simple act of eating should always be steeped in joy, gratitude and most of all deliciousness'. She filled the gap in the industry with her approachable plant based catering which aims to provide a dining experience that celebrates seasonal produce that is locally sourced and organic.

Yerrabingin - Yerrabingin is a visionary start-up organisation aims provide a non-conventional approach in addressing Aboriginal disadvantage while creating inter-generational capital for future generations to thrive. They aim deliver and manage Australia’s first Indigenous urban food production farm. This young organisation will hold regular workshops focusing on Aboriginal cultural, native permaculture, environmental sustainability, physical and mental health.

RooCreate - Suzanne Haddon created RooCreate with sustainability in mind by eliminating waste through innovative sustainable packaging design. RooCreate revolutionises the branding industry and offers a unique branding experience using biodegradable materials that produces minimal carbon footprint and a cohesive and simple experience for consumers.

Huskee - Huskee help to recycle hundreds of tonnes of waste material from the production of coffee by creating cups that are sophisticated and sustainable in its nature. Every HuskeeCup was created from coffee husk as a raw material. Coffee husk is an organic waste material that’s produced at the milling stage of coffee production. 

Oatly - The sole purpose of the company is to make a product that is easy for people to enjoy without costing the planet in the process. They have a range of plant-based drink made from oat with attention to detail on growing, harvesting and processing oats into refreshing products that people can enjoy and benefit from.

Ooooby - Fresh produce supplier that works together with local producer and grower to deliver fresh seasonal goods.
