The Burundi Micro-Lot auction, for the FIRST TIME we will be holding the auction simultaneously in 5 different cities across the globe!
Learn what transparency and traceability really mean and what it looks like from the perspective of green bean importing.
About this Event
To this day, coffee in Burundi has been grown exclusively by smallholder farmers and its trade has supported roughly 650,000 families. Our aim is to identify and encourage the individual small growers that produce top quality coffee in Burundi.
In Burundi this year the cherry season came to an abrupt end resulting in the smallest crop in over 10 years and a 70% drop from last year. However, the quality collected was very good. This event is your chance you to taste the best from Burundi and an opportunity to support producers who were affected by unforeseeable climate challenges.
All the proceeds that we get from this auction will be sent back to our partners in Burundi and we hope by doing this will help producers to overcome the harsh harvest they are facing.
We've got our hands on 10 outstanding lots, an assortment of natural, honey & fully washed, these are exclusive micro-lots consisting of 5-15 bags. The event will run as a silent auction simultaneously in our Hong Kong, Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, and Perth.
Silent Auction: We will set a base price and ask you to write down your number to us, we will not announce the bidding price, the bidder with the highest bidder winning the contract for the coffees landing in October.
Join us on Wednesday 10th of July.
